Payroll/Billing Specialist

The Payroll/Billing Specialist is responsible for performing payroll and billing functions. This individual will be tasked with managing time entries, hour logs, calculating wages, processing payments, managing accounts receivable, and ensuring accuracy of payroll records. The Payroll/Billing Specialist must possess excellent analytical skills and have an eye for detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks. The position requires approximately 20-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and process employee wages on a timely basis.
  • Prepare invoices to clients utilizing accurate information from payroll reports.
  • Review job costing for accuracy on invoices.
  • Handle customer inquiries and disputes.
  • Comply with federal, state and local regulations such as workers compensation audits.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in payroll and billing.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles and payroll procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and accounting software
  • Experience with WinTeam and ADP is a plus

BONUS PLANS

$300.00 HIRING BONUS (Full-Time)

  • Must be a full-time employee, working at least 32+ hours weekly.
  • Bonus will be paid upon completion of a 90-day term with MPS Security from the first day worked, with no disciplinary/corrective action and no attendance issues (includes lates, call off’s, and requested time off).
 

$200 HIRING BONUS (Part-Time/On Call/Flex)

  • For part-time employees, working less than 32 hours weekly.
  • Also, for employees hired as On Call or Flex (conditions apply).
  • Bonus will be paid upon completion of a 90-day term with MPS Security from the first day worked, with no disciplinary/corrective action and no attendance issues (includes lates, call off’s and requested time off).
 

$200 VACCINATION BONUS

  • $150.00 for full Covid-19 Vaccination at time of hiring (proof of vaccination required upon day of hire)
    • Bonus will be paid upon completion of a 90-day term with MPS Security from the first day worked.
  • $50.00 for Covid-19 Vaccination booster (proof of vaccination booster required)
    • Bonus will be paid if booster is completed within six months from second vaccination.
  • All persons working without proof of vaccination may be required to test weekly.

Looking for a dependable, high energy Security Officer (unarmed) to work vehicle patrol and alarm response in Perris.

The ideal candidate will possess the highest degree of integrity, be dedicated to their position, and take pride in their work and appearance.

This position requires superior driving skills, report writing skills, and public relations skills. A positive, friendly, and outgoing demeanor is a must.

Qualifications

  • Must have a current BSIS guard card and a valid CA drivers license with a clean driving record
  • 1-year experinece as a security officer
  • Reliable transportation
  • No more than 1 point on driving record
  • Driver’s license cannot have previously been suspended or revoked for a moving violation

Guard Card Class

BSIS (Bureau of Security and Investigative Service) is the State of California agency responsible for issuing Guard Cards. Guard Card training consists of two courses; Powers to Arrest, Weapons of Mass Destruction.

The State of California requires all security officers (no matter if uniformed or plain clothed), loss prevention agents, bouncers, bodyguards, night watchmen, protective agents or anyone else employed in any capacity related to security, access control, theft prevention and protection to possess a valid Guard Card. If you work in any capacity related to protection and security you must possess a valid Guard Card. Once you receive your Guard Card it is valid for two years from the date of issue and allows you to be the employee of any PPO (what is a PPO?) or proprietary security employer.

Guard Cards are issued by BSIS based upon BSIS standards and requirements. We are providing your training but the State of California will issue your guard card. We do not issue Guard Cards and we do not guarantee that BSIS will approve your Guard Card application.

The Guard Card course is an eight-hour course of training divided into two sections. The first four hours are based on the “Power to Arrest” (PTA) Training Manual developed by BSIS. This course is a self-paced workbook, study guide, quiz, and final examination. The second four-hour section is the “Weapons of Mass Destruction” (WMD) course based on the student guide, workbook, and training videos provided by BSIS. This course is conducted using video lecture, workbook study and written examination. Students must complete both to apply for their Guard Card. The PTA test consists of an OPEN BOOK TEST on which you must attain a score of 100%. The WMD test consists of a ten question test on which you must score 80% or better.
